Kristopher McDonough, MD

Kristopher McDonough, MD, is one of the skilled physicians at Midwest Respiratory Ltd., which has offices in Joliet and New Lenox, Illinois. He is board-certified in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease medicine, and internal medicine. 

Dr. McDonough completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri–Columbia. He then attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his internship and residency at the University of Chicago Hospital & Clinics. He then went on to complete a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, where he was named Chief Fellow. 

Dr. McDonough is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and maintains professional affiliations with the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and Society of Critical Care Management. 

Dr. McDonough specializes in treating patients with asthma, COPD, emphysema, lung disease, lung cancer, and sarcoidosis. He also can assist patients with smoking cessation and tobacco use disorder.
