Alexander Sosenko, MD

Alexander Zenon Sosenko, MD, is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician at Midwest Respiratory Ltd., which has offices in Joliet and New Lenox, Illinois. 

Dr. Sosenko completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Science. He attended medical school at the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois before embarking on an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in pulmonary diseases & critical care medicine at Northwestern University Medical Center in 1984. 

To stay up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Sosenko is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Internal Medicine. He also holds subspecialty certifications from the Board of Pulmonary Diseases and the Board of Critical Care Medicine. He is currently affiliated with St. Joseph Medical Center and Silver Cross Hospital. In 2021, Dr. Sosenko was awarded the Silver Cross Sehring Medal of Excellence, recognizing him for his contributions to the health care profession.
